About Strategies For College, Inc.

Founded in 1990 by Todd Fothergill, the firm has grown considerably over the past 20 years.  In 1993, the firm was merged with University Exchange of Rockville, MD under the direction of Thomas McGrath.  Todd and Tom worked together until Tom's retirement in 2007.  In that time, over 4.000 families were engaged, contracts with five public and two private high schools were secured and national and local media recognized the first of its kind "integrated approach" to college planning developed by Fothergill and McGrath.  Over three dozen private counselors nationwide have been trained with this model as well as several CPA and financial planning firms.

The integrated approach focuses on combining student competitive position with family financial objectives to develop strategies that result in affordable, quality college placements.

Today, the firm has four locations and online Internet consulting available.  Todd Fothergill continues as the firm's president.  Patricia von Trapp, Howard Verman and Todd Weaver manage the Stowe, VT, Shelburne, VT and Canton, MA locations respectively.
